About Boardwalk Realty

Boardwalk Realty was started by Gregg Schmaedeke. The company was born in 1982, when Gregg bought his first duplex during college. The reason… because he believed (and still believes) in Real Estate. Originally a Political Science major, early on Gregg saw the need to have a paying job, and made the switch to Real Estate. In May of 1983 he went to Real Estate school. After working for several companies for about 10 years, he eventually decided that he would rather promote his own business than someone else’s. Always a fan of Monopoly, Gregg decided to start his own company, and (not so surprisingly) he named it Boardwalk Realty. This was followed in 1986 by the property management division, called Park Place Properties, and in 1993 a contracting division, called Baltic Builders. Over the years Boardwalk has grown, but still managed to keep it's customer centered focus, which has helped the business to thrive. As a realtor, Gregg has sold over XX houses, and the property management division has grown to over 30 properties. (See the Available Properties Page) Boardwalk Realty has been growing over the last 20 years, and continues to grow today. It is now a 3 part business; specializing in providing affordable housing to renters, top quality service to prospective home buyers, and property asset services.
